The overall masterplan attempts to integrate the residential community to its north by traffic connectivity and pedestrian oriented landscaped green belts, creating open neighborhoods that complement Kunming’s bracing climate. “Spring City Alleyways” recall the atmospheric nodes of its natural geography through vibrant colors, textures, and architectural character, and encourage leisurely movement through its many “memory zones”. The design palette includes extensive use of local granite and timber, articulating walls, bulkheads, handrails, and canopies. Al Fresco dining clusters surrounded by abundant greenery further enhance the relaxed lifestyle environments. The vertical development includes offices and residential buildings integrated with retail and leisure streets, creating a multi-dimensional mixed-use landmark urban development.
