Jinmao Fuzhou’s new TOD (Transit Oriented Development) is located in the CBD of Changle New Seaside City, adjacent to the new Central Park and on axis between the mountain peaks and the sea. The development includes a 110,000sm Retail and Leisure Center and two office towers. The development is connected to a comprehensive transportation hub under the Central Park including a major bus terminal, a city-airport transit hub, connection to a subway station, and a subterranean road system. The design takes advantages of the project site to create public spaces with visual inter-action between the mall and the outside central park and developed a unique city “living-room”, as well as TOD strategy connecting commercial spaces with the transportation hub efficiently, creating sunken gardens and a connecting spine of B1 level retail and restaurants, allowing for 24-hour activity. Meanwhile strategically placed nodes with vertical transportation to connect the Retail Center to the extensive subterranean components in a vibrant way efficiently.
