Guangzhou Hopson TIT

CITY PROMENADES

The Guangzhou Hopson TIT Development is a rejuvenation of an existing industrial property adjacent to a Pearl River tributary in close proximity to the Canton Tower. This large-scale urban redevelopment accommodates over 800,000sm of commercial and residential uses and incorporates two 300m twin office and hotel towers, three Serviced Apartment Towers and two 150m tall Residential towers flanking a five level Retail and Entertainment Galleria. A waterfront promenade connects the development to its northern city fabric and a grand undulating canopy defines the pedestrian walks flanked by a dense village of two-level boutiques, artist studios, cultural amenities and waterfront restaurants designed in the traditional architectural vernacular. New paradigms of urban density, segregated vehicular and pedestrian traffic and connectivity to two subway lines are explored while retaining contemporary city-life sensibilities, walkability, and regenerative design stipulations consistent with the new generation of vibrant cities in China.
